Nose

Quite closed. Piney and almost hoppy, with grapefruit and varnish. Lily pollen and sap. Then semolina and pie crust. Pear drop and vanilla essence. Hair spray and bourbon biscuit. Root ginger.

Palate

Light bodied, but with a fair whack of heat. Sweet, spiritous and grainy, with more pear drop, ginger snap biscuit and some elderflower. Still quite hard to get at.

Finish

Hot, short and evaporates on the vanilla and pear drop.

Comment

Some solid flavours, but could do with more time to mellow out.
