Nose
An unusual nose of surgical gloves or natural latex and cigar boxes that then shifts to powdered almond, macaroons, and Scottish tablet.
Palate
Sweet and full bodied, with clove, pink peppercorn sauce, clootie dumpling, and dried cranberry. Rum-raisin ice cream, too.
Finish
After the initial demerara sweetness, the whisky becomes pleasantly tart, like a rhubarb and gooseberry tart with spices.
Comment
Robust aromas and hearty flavours mean this is a whisky with a lot of personality.
