Nose

Lots of great dunnage warehouse notes here: soil, oak, and dust. Then baked apples, wood wax, dried cherries, and maple syrup.

Palate

Light toffee, fresh orange, carrot cake, sultanas, and brown sugar melted in butter, with a gentle dash of baking spices near the end.

Finish

Quite soft, it fades quickly but the richness of the nose pulls me back in.

Comment

A very appealing and comforting whisky — bolder on the nose than the palate, but well-rounded overall.
