Nose

Earthy, with a slight rubber note, and almost a hint of smoke or ash and a tinge of toasted cumin. In the background there’s some citrus peel alongside toasted almonds.

Palate

Quite punchy, some notes of tyre alongside vanilla sweetness. Dark liquorice and treacle also reside. Slightly bitter at the back of palate.

Finish

Rich, dark, like chewing Liquorice Allsorts. Sticks around with a waft of smoke.

Comment

A steely beast with dark roots. Could be slightly better balanced but one to warm you on a cool day.
