Nose
Blackberry jam, pipe tobacco, raisins, subtle smoke, faintly petrolic, camphor and mineral oil. There’s black coffee, bergamot orange, dark chocolate and treacle, too.
Palate
Light bodied. Raspberry and blackberry coulis, subtle mint, and candied orange. Some coffee with cream, candied ginger, cinnamon and caramel, too. A distinct woodiness, but only delicate tannin.
Finish
Medium-short. The sweeter, heavier notes dissipate first, leaving the berries.
Comment
Solid showing by Switzerland.
