Nose

A bit of a brooding whisky: lots of menthol, vanilla, anise, and some dark bread, just baked, out of the oven. There’s warm cinnamon there too. It’s got attitude.

Palate

Oof, this is a big one in the best way. Black liquorice, chewy raisins, dark chocolate, bold Morello cherries all play alongside spicy oak notes.

Finish

Fairly short but pleasant.

A well-rounded, punchy whisky that makes me want to sit in a dimly lit bar until the early hours, watching the world go by.
