Taster

Nose: Sticking plasters, charred rosemary, vanilla bean paste, and cantaloupe. A little anise and a foundation of buttery cheesecake base. Charred bell peppers.

Palate: Smoke and salted caramel stroopwafel, baked fennel and vanilla ice cream. Buttered barley bread and caramel sauce. A bit of charcoal.

Finish: Long. The smoke notes become burnt brown toast.

Comment: The kind of Ileach you could drink all night.

Score: 8.0

Taster

Nose: Quite gentle. Muesli packed with nuts and seeds. Apricot jam, ripe nectarine, and a splash of almond milk. Rolling tobacco. With time, shredded wheat cereal and golden syrup.

Palate: Vegetal note at first, like mild cornichons, shifting quickly to herbal, smoky peat. Baked apricot, toasted almond, and English muffins with blossom honey. A hint of sweet buttered popcorn.

Finish: Long. Toasted walnut and hazelnut, leaning into praline, with lingering subtle peat.

Comment: The balanced smoke let its character shine through.
