Nose
Restrained at first. A bit of fruit mingled with cereal. Tangerine, dried apple. And an unusual wet chalk note. Then a mustardy note which evens reminds of wasabi. Distant brine and smoke.
Palate
Crisp and prickly. With a yeasty taste. Really close to beer. Weird. Sour and tangy also. Faint butterscotch flavour in the back. Hint of smoke.
Finish
Dry, spicy and quickly fading.
Comment
I would never have thought this is a 30 Years Old whisky. Very weird aromatic combination. Water brings them all together in a toffee tone.
