Nose

Very similar grassy vanilla profile to other drams of late – sultanas, apricots round it out, with sage, tea, bay leaves, ginger, toffee and some woodiness.

Palate

Aha, it comes to life – vibrancy but woodiness, with a nice oily spirit. Nutmeg and pepper, with some cinnamon, dark chocolate, and coffee. Muscovado sugar and vanilla.

Finish

Short, peppery, sweet and a touch unbalanced.

Comment

Nice enough, but it’s hard to feel too excited about this.
