Nose

Dusty peaches and lemon sherbet followed by a touch of anise, vanilla, and sugar-dusted baked plums.

Palate

A touch more drying than expected but with great mouthfeel. Lots of syrupy honey, blackcurrant leaf, aspartame, and madeleines.

Finish

Fairly drying, lingers with an ashy, woody taste and a touch of sugar.

Comment

I liked the nose a lot but felt the palate could have given more. With water it was more balanced and the sweetness came through more than the woodiness.
