Nose

Cardboard to begin with but some solid, sweet barley to give a semblance of balance. Fishy with earthy peat, sugar coated violets, bacon fat, meat and salt.

Palate

Initially sugary followed by cardboardy peat and hard barley. Briny on the middle which clears the sugars from the palate to leave oily, fishy notes.\n

Finish

Long and sweetly peated with lingering cardboardy notes. Sweet violet, peat after-taste. \n

Comment

The distillery character here is unmistakable! However there are just enough other elements to balance.
