Nose
It’s a shy one, mostly nutty, like soaked cashews, with light vanilla sponge cake and just a hint of fruitiness in dried apricots, peach skin and sultanas.
Palate
This is unexpectedly juicy, bursting with fresh stone fruit. There are peaches, apricots, plums, some lemon zest, vanilla-accented icing sugar, and mandarin segments, but oak spice prevents it from becoming sickly.
Finish
It’s still going, though drying.
Comment
Such a fresh, vibrant palate here that you almost don’t want to swallow.
