Nose
Sticky oranges, waxy floor polish and a little liquorice thrown in for good measure. There’s some dark cherries too, and a bit of leather. It’s bold in the glass.
Palate
Great thick texture, almost sappy. There’s lots of rich fruit, everything from stewed peaches and mango to cherries and blackcurrants.
Finish
Nice dark fruits — brambles and blackcurrants again — with a good dash of spice.
Comment
A comforting whisky — there is brightness and acidity there which helps balance the stickier, deep flavours.
