Tasting Notes

Nose

Roast chestnut, treacle, Old English marmalade. Becomes like incense like/resinous with water. Briary notes, Turkish Delight, gingerbread and raisin, parma violet, hint of peat. Antique shop.

Palate

Quite firm, black fruits, raisin. Good grip but not too tannic. Runny toffee. Rich.

Finish

Lightly tannic autumn leaves.

Comment

Has hidden depths. Doesn't like water.
