Nose

Very gentle at first. All butter shortbread, sunflower oil and Chantilly cream. Honeydew melon, barley sugar sweets and toffee apples. Then minerality with hot stones.

Palate

That honeydew melon note hits first, then huge waves of chocolate, toffee and chocolate coated apples. Candy coated almonds and cider apple.

Finish

Heat, chili spice, but water helps bring out that sweetness from the nose.

An interesting whisky and one for saving for a cold snap.
