Nose
Tinned apricot, pears roasted in golden syrup, fruit flan (grapes, apples, strawberries, kiwi) and tamarind caramels. Brown sugar pastry twists and some delicate tangerine and ephemeral florals. An almost Marmite-esque yeastiness, too.
Palate
Light bodied. A cohesive wave of over-ripe pear and the fruit flan from the nose, joined by well-fired crème brûlée top and some delicate tannins.
Finish
Medium, fading on green apple skin.
Comment
A superlative nose is followed by an enjoyable and balanced palate.
