Nose

I’m immediately placed in a damp northern Scottish day in a warehouse when I nose this: there’s some damp wood, browned butter and dark sugar, a hint of marshmallow, and burnt oranges.

Palate

Warming and spicy, with a rich texture. There’s some of that orange peel and then black pepper, bundt cake, and almonds.

Finish

Drying and spicy with a lingering sweetness that makes for a pleasing finish.

Comment

A very classic and comforting whisky with a good bite that makes me want to go back for another sip.
