Nose

There’s a classic pear drop note to start, followed by some anise sweetness and wood paint. Then juicy apples, a pine forest, and some hay.

Palate

Fairly rich to begin — wood varnish, prunes, eucalyptus, and coffee — before fading into some orchard fruits.

Finish

Short to medium, with a lingering bitterness.

Comment

A pleasant enough grain whisky with some complexity and good character.
