First things first. This needs water to allow it to open. Neat it’s indistinct and hot, but diluted and it’s a revelation. Perfumed with touches of lemon, creamed butter, golden caster sugar, apple and rose petal.
Needs the water to allow it to relax and bring out a developing peachiness. The rose returns along with a good layering softness. Oak is balanced.
Long and rich.
Sleek and languorous. An excellent mature whisky.
