Nose

Initially fairly smoky, but once that calms in the glass there’s a real light orchard fruit aroma here — more delicate than initially thought. A touch of banana, as well.

Palate

A chalky smokiness with lots of cream — like those strawberry and cream candies from the ’90s. There’s a good earthiness alongside just a hint of lavender.

Finish

Rich with a nice full spice and sweet smoke.

Comment

A whisky that plays a lot of tunes but does them really well. Enjoyably concentrated.
