Tasting Notes

Nose

Fat and very sherried: walnut, treacle toffee, sticky toffee pudding, raisin and a strangely vegetal note.

Palate

Full-on sherry. The wood seems to have taken charge, giving it a slight astringency.

Finish

Long. Walnut bread. Dry.

Comment

Well made, but there's just too much sherry character which diminishes any complexity. A shame for the spirit which seems very good.
