Nose

Initially there’s something that reminds me of being in the fresh air of a forest in autumn, perhaps near a lake. There’s the smell of a woodshop, walnut oil, and orange blossom too. Needs a bit of time in the glass to reveal itself.

Palate

At first caramel, then pecan pie, a bit of warm honey, some nutmeg, and puff pastry.

Finish

Fairly good kick at the front of the palate, with lingering spice across the whole tongue.

Comment

This one takes a bit of time to settle but it’s very enjoyable once it does, offering a comforting drink.
