Nose: Light and supple at first. Rice Krispies chocolate cakes. Then lots of fruits, orchards at harvest time, a little cider press. Chantilly cream and treacle toffee pie. There a light floral blossom note too.
Palate: Vanilla laced smoke, with a little hit of Latika pipe tobacco. All the sweetness of the nose is there, but with more citrus coming through eventually.
Finish: Long, lush and pretty soft, leaves just fruit and malt.
Comment: Another Autumn tinged stunner.
Score: 8.6
Taster
Nose: Butterscotch Angel Delight, strawberry jelly and ice cream and chocolate covered cornflakes. A bitterness develops with coffee beans, roasted hazelnuts and treacle.
Palate: Spicy and earthy with notes of chewed tobacco, chocolate covered coffee beans and nettle syrup. Bursts of lemon bon bons, brambles and liquorice add another dimension.
Finish: Starts off with a leathery texture that lightens into juicy fruits.
Comment: A packet of liquorice allsorts.
Score: 8.8
