Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Great maturity. Nail varnish, lacquer. Velvety with some nuttiness (walnut/cashew). Glossy.

Palate: Starts sweetly enough, then grips. Lacks complexity and breadth.

Finish: Firm. Hard.

Comment: High maintenance. Beneath that sleek exterior beats a hard, one dimensional heart.

Score: 7.5

Arthur Motley

Taster

Nose: Old, gingery mulling spices and an exotic musky spice. Spiced apple compote, honey and a background sherbety zip. Faint chlorine and vanilla.

Palate: Lemon, orange sherbet, nutmeg and dry spice. Slightly waxy.

Finish: Woody, dry/bitter complexity.

Comment: Clearly old, and pleasant enough but slightly muted.
