Nose
Mature, subtle and richly sherried with dried prune, fig, walnuts and orange conserve. Hints of rye-like herbs, Golden Syrup and Demerara sugar follow. Late damp earth and dunnage warehouses.
Palate
Elegant and subtle. Juicy dried plum, raisin and prune mingle with malt, treacle, and coffeed, bitter tannins.
Finish
Long and spicy, but rather drying with lingering coffee, wood smoke and cinnamon sticks.
Comment
An incredibly laid back, mature malt. A dram that requires time and contemplation.
