Nose
Nose: Butterscotch and toasted walnuts, tea-soaked prunes, treacle tart and roasted ham, raisins and oven-roasted tomatoes, then gentle sulphur: spent matches, petrichor, hot roads after a thunderstorm.
Palate
Treacle tart and big chocolatey hits like chocolate covered raisins and Cadbury’s Fruit and Nut bar.
Finish
Chocolatey with rising spice: cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom spice prickle.
Comment
Big punches of flavour, big sweetness and big spice. A little one-dimensional, but a good quality whisky nonetheless.
