Nose
Brandy-drenched Christmas pudding with fresh custard. Citrussy Lancashire cheese. White grape and pickled walnuts. A little leather and wood varnish. Ground ginger and cumin.
Palate
Medium-full. Notably voluptuous texture. Vanilla latte, fresh nutmeg, ginger cake, molasses, and sweet figs. Dry-rubbed barbequed beef. Salted caramel-filled chocolate truffles and a little leather.
Finish
Medium-long. The fruit cake notes crescendo, with creamy hazelnut.
Comment
Very good company for a long, cold evening.
