Nose

Lobster pots, salty fishing line and carbolic soap, with an addition of freshly sawn pine. Very domineering, with a touch of creaminess if one digs deeper.

Palate

Creamy peat, some peppery notes, a touch of stewed banana and icing sugar. Sweet and peaty. Reminiscent of very sweet Lapsang Souchong tea.

Finish

The peat lingers, alongside remnants of the sweetness.

Comment

Solid and distinctly 'Islay' in character.
