Tasting Notes

Nose

Phenolic. Wet soot, smoke and creosote. The kiln the day after. Opens on lighter notes as the smoke screen vanishes. Marshmallow.

Palate

Smooth, round, velvety. Sweet maltiness. Smoked haddock. Develops on mint and liquorice. Lemon pulp with a touch of vanilla syrup.

Finish

Short but clean. Slightly sooty.

A fresh and balanced dram. Easy going, straightforward, cheerful.\rA perfect appetiser.
