Nose

Intense. Rich toffee, candied orange. Creamy custard. Freshly baked bread.

Palate

Smooth and velvety. Fruit and oak are well integrated. Dundee cake. But midpalate is watery. Then spices gives it a kick. Ginger and whitepepper. A smoky touch (burnt wood ?).

Finish

Dry, spicy, very pleasant.

Comment

A lovely whisky with a hole in the middle ! A higher alcohol strength would have made a big difference.
