Nose
Reminds me of a passanda curry – ground almonds, cinnamon, cardamom and saffron with loose-leaf black tea.
Palate
Grainy texture – representing the tannins of that black tea. Fresh, sappy pine shavings, lemon juice and the surprise of biting into a lemon pip. Cardamom and cinnamon in the background.
Finish
Almond character is there, baked in a cake served with Ceylon tea.
Comment
Smells nothing like a curry, but all the elements of the passanda are there. Trust me!
