Nose

Immediately feel like I’m by the seaside: there’s seaweed and salty water, before lemon peel and some white chocolate. A nice gentle smokiness wafts out of the glass alongside a bit of icing sugar.

Palate

Really well-balanced smoke here that just sits happily on the tongue alongside lots of citrus peel, vanilla bean, sea salt, and flaky croissant.

Finish

The smoke dissipates more quickly than I’d expect but in its wake is a real soft sweetness.

A smoky dram that has excellent structure and a lot going on despite its gentleness.
